Saying Good-Bye To A Great Friend

When we moved here to Milton, Rylee met a sweet little girl down the street named, Madison. Madison's dad is in the Coast Guard and will be getting his wings next Friday. They will be moving to California and the girls are sad to say good-bye. They wanted to do something special together. They decided to go to Build-a-Bear Workshop and make eachother a special animal to remember the other by. They made alligators, which are exclusive to Florida and each of them recorded a message for the other and put in in the foot. When they are far away, all they have to do is press the button and they will hear a special message from their friend. Rylee's alligator is named Madison and Madison's is named Rylee. They had a blast spending the day together. They started out with a special treat from Starbucks and ended with a fun sleepover. They each got new matching pajamas and so did their alligators. These girls have become such good friends and I think this is quite possibly the first of many sad good-byes for each of them. They have learned a lot from eachother and are better off because they were friends. Now they will keep in touch and have a pen pal (or these days, an e-mail pal) for life. I know Rylee is really going to miss Maddy and we are really going to miss her parents.
