Rylee had her first GPAC swim meet this weekend and it was a big event. She was so excited about it that she talked about it all week long. It took place at the Hunter Pool in downtown Pensacola and she had to be there at 0800 for warm-up. So, we all got up early to get her there on time. The meet was a fun meet that teamed GP

AC swimmers against other GPAC swimmers. Rylee was on the green team and her buddy Kaylee, who she car

pools to practice with, was on the blue team. They swam 4 events: 25 yard freestyle, 25 yard breaststroke, 25 yard backstroke and 25 yard butterfly. It was just as Bobby described, a lot of waiting around for her turn to swim but, we had a great time. Our friends, Heidi and Per

ry and Granny were there to cheer her on as well as Kaylee's family. Rylee did a great job for her first meet. She won 3 3rd place ribbons and 1 2nd place ribbon in butterfly. After the meet we headed home for a celebration. Kaylee's dad made the best ribs ever and we had quite a feast. I made the girls a special cake and they played for the rest of the evening. It was a great time and we look forward to many more meets to come.
