Halloween was Good to Rylee and RJ

Rylee and RJ had a blast this Halloween. The gate guard goes back in effect for the night and we have the neighborhood in military housing to ourselves. Rylee decided to get fancy and dress as a stylish witch and told everyone that she turned her little brother into a frog...a very cute frog. The kids trick-or-treated with our neighbors' kids and the dads took them. We weren't sure how RJ would like Trick-or-Treating but as soon as he figured out that if he simply walks up to the door and says "trick-or-treat" someone starts putting candy in his bucket he became a professional. Bobby pulled him in the wagon and he would get out and go get his goodies and climb right back in as if to say "On to the next one, Dad". My neighbor Cindy, Granny and Grandpa and I stayed home and gave out candy. I made a big pot of chili and we ate it while sitting oustside handing out candy. I have to say the best part of the night was when the kids came back for a little break and RJ pulled up in his wagon, jumped out and came right up and said "Trick-or-Treat" to me as if I was a perfect stranger. I just laughed and couldn't get over how adorable it was. Granny and Cindy and I just kept putting candy in his bucket..JACKPOT!! He scored the best house of all, his own. Rylee didn't make out too badly either. There is enough candy around here to last all year.
